The Veiled Path of Destiny
Jay's stop is the fifth. After he boarded from the first station he got a seat in the next compartment. For some reasons the train station is flooded with people in an early weekend morning. Jay has to find a seat because he really don't want to travel half asleep and standing, fully drained of energy to his sister's house. He took out his mobile to check for any new messages from his sister, the birthday party is at 5 in the evening but he has to be there in the morning as per his sister's orders. Yes, he take orders from his sister. If Jay thinks his sister as some Princess it makes him the foot soldier.
The train stops at the second station after only 6 minutes from it's departure from the initial station. And this is when Jay seems to completely forgets the whole destiny being fake thing, because what he saw when the doors opened made him breathless. He wondered for a moment how come the night sky resided in a person's eye. He doesn't believe what he saw, he thought his eyes are playing him. When the doors closed she eventually came aside and sat at the empty seat opposite to where Jay is seated. It took him a whole minute for him to realize that he was staring at a young woman not a statue. He felt uneasy for staring.
The Eyes are not the only thing that made him awestruck, It's the other thing that is only visible other than her crystal eyes and bubble cheeks under the wrapped Hijab. It's her raven mole that sits on the top of her upper strawberry lips. Something about the mole startled Jay's soul out of his body. This feeling he is sensing right now is so fresh. He encountered countless women in his couple decades of earthly life but the dark mole in the Ivory face seems to capture some part of his heart, the announcement on the speaker screamed station three but for Jay it felt like 3 Eternity. If he continues to be blinded by that girl he may starts to believe that the rest of his heart too fell outside of his cage into her lap.
Jay straightened his mind to reality, but seems like some part of him still wants to submerge more in her Ivory coast. A message popped on his mobile showing the exact location of his sister's house and some picture she took of the Starboy of the Day. Jay smiled looking at the half sleeping, drooling face of the one year little bear to whom he became a Uncle a year ago. When the train came to the 4th station the girl in hijab suddenly stood up and gave space to an another women passenger. For a moment Jay's heart forgets to beat in it's rhythm. he thought about her leaving from the door and it nearly sunk him.
And then only he came to his right mind that in the next 5 minutes he is the one who is going to walk away from the train that is holding them together in the moment. He is getting prepared. Jay cannot shake the feeling he gets when he saw her, he straighten up his back and for the last time he sees her Pearl face again. That's the moment he know what this feeling is, he knows why people believes in Destiny. He could have taken the next train and still be on time to his sister's home but still he took the very first train, he should have seated in the first compartment he gotten into but still he moved the next one. He now knows he should speak or forever hold the silence and that's when the Train came to a Stop in the fifth station.
He stood there like a voiceless sparrow knowing nothing to do. His screen pops again and it's his sister message telling him that she is near the station and she will be picking her little brother from the station. This time Jay once again feels like the hopeless little kid who got lost in a family picnic when he was Seven. That's when he saw the Girl with the mole on her upper lips strode past him to the near empty bench. Maybe Destiny is something to place our hope on.
